Deflowered Canon by Will Harrington

"Deflowered Canon" was selected for AiPP's 2007-07 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, and later donated to the City of Bristol, VA by the artist. You can find "Deflowered Canon" in Cumberland Square Park, in the walkway in front of the offices of Bristol Virginia City Schools.

About the Sculpture

As Leonardo Da Vinci wrote (left handed and backwards) in his Codex Leicester Notebooks, 'Everything that can be taken by the eyes need not be masticated by the mouth.' The visual craftsman's vocabulary is sight, the literary craftsman's vocabulary is letters: Look, see and focus on each, or do I have to draw you a picture?
